Once you make a Kahoot, display it in the front of the room and have your studentsvgo to Kahoot.it. From there they will enter a game pin. There is no need for students to create an account.
Once you start the game, the questions will be displayed on the board. Students will choose their answers on their devices. Once all answers are in, the results will be displayed and the teacher will be able to assess student progress by seeing how many people got each question right, or wrong and which answers they chose. This game gets very competitive and is a lot of fun!

Edmodo is a fantastic way to bring social media into your classroom in a safe and fun way. Edmodo has the look and feel of a Facebook page and can be used to have students communicate with each other in the target language the way they would on social media. The beauty of Edmodo is that the teacher has 100 percent control of the group and therefore does not have to worry about cyberbullying, or inappropriate comments being made. The teacher creates a group and invites students by giving them a group code. Teachers have the ability to delete posts, put a student on read-only, or even delete the child entirely if he/she is displaying inappropriate behavior. With Edmodo, one can create polls, quizzes, or assignments. The easiest way to use Edmodo is to give students a topic to chat about in the target language.

3. PIC COLLAGE
Pic collage is a collage making app that you can download to your smartphone, or tablet. When assigning a poster project to your class, give students pic collage as an option. They can save it to the camera roll and submit it electronically.
If you have access to tablets in your school, or if all of your students have devices with pic collage, do an in class project and have students post their finished projects on Edmodo, then have students comment in the target language on each project.

Duolingo is ad-free and offers all its language courses free of charge. Duolingo gives you the ability to track students' progress and assign tasks for them to complete. Duolingo is a great in class activity and also works well for an at home assignment. Depending on how you use Duolingo, it can be classified as either, lo-tech, mid-tech, or hi-tech.
To sign up for Duolingo, go to www.schools.duolingo.com. You can sign up as a teacher and create classes. You will then be given a link to share with your students so that they can join your class. From there, you can create assignments and follow student progress. To have your students sign up, have them either download the Duolingo app, or go to www.duolingo.com.

Once students join the game, they will be randomly put into teams. Each team will be given a name, which is some type of animal. The amazing thing with Quizlet, is that it recognizes the language you are using when creating your flashcards. When you play Quizlet Live, it will not only give each team animal names, but it will do so in the target language!!!
Once placed in a team, students will have to find their teammates and collaborate with them in order to come up with the answers. Each device in the team will have the question, but only one student within that team will have the correct answer. If the students don't work together and get the question wrong, they have to go back to the beginning and start over. The games are quick and you can keep playing new games for as long as you want. You also have the option of keeping students in the same teams, or shuffling teams after each game.

You will need a minimum of 25 words, but there is no maximum. . Share the link or QR code with your students and they will be linked to a pre-made bingo board. As you call out the words, your students will click on those words on their board and keep track electronically. Once a student has gotten a bingo, you have the option of having your students clear their boards and starting over. If you don't have devices for each of your students, there is an option to print paper copies of the individual bingo boards for your students.

8. CHATTERPIX This app lets you or you students make anything talk, pets, friends, doodles, and more. Simply take any photo, draw a line to make a mouth, and record your voice. Then share your Pix with friends and family as silly greetings, playful messages, creative cards, or even fancy book reports. And best of all, it's FREE! If you all of your students have access to smartphones or tablets you or they can download the Chatterpix app and have your students do speaking activities in fun ways. Have them take a selfie or find a picture on the internet and have them record their voices in the target language. This is a fun way to get your students engaged. 9. NEARPOD Formative assessments made easy! This site allows teachers to make engaging and interactive lessons for their students. Create new lessons within Nearpod or import presentations that you've already made from PowerPoint or Google Slides and add a variety of activities for your students such as quizzes, fill in the blanks, draw its, 3D pictures, virtual field trips, games and more. This is a great tool to get your students collaborating and to give them immediate feedback. The site also offers some pre-made lessons, some are free and some are paid. It works on any operating system and integrates with Google Classroom, Canvas and Schoology.
